Georgia will break ground on its indoor athletic facility Tuesday. The facility will be located on a plot of land used by Georgia’s football and track programs.

The facility will feature a 100-yard football field, 65-meter track runway, jumping pits and netting for other teams to use the facility during inclement weather. The full length of the field will be 140 yards long and 80 yards wide.

Georgia also will have two grass fields on the premises of the Butts-Mehre Building complex, where the current turf fields are located.

For the time being, the Bulldogs’ football team will practice at the UGA club sports complex off site.
