The NFL draft was concluded with an exceptionally low number of Georgia Bulldogs taken. Isaiah McKenzie's fifth round selection by the Denver Broncos prevented Kirby Smart's team from being totally skunked. Given the number of draft-eligible Bulldogs who elected to come back, that's neither surprising nor particularly discouraging.
The good news for UGA players who were not selected is that they now get to take part in the undrafted free agent derby, wherein players not selected try to catch on with one of the league’s 32 teams. In many respects, it's actually a better deal than becoming a late round selection.
