WASHINGTON - Faith Woodard (Brandon, Fla./Freedom) and Yazmine Belk (Queens, N.Y./Nazareth Regional) both registered double-doubles and four Hoyas finished in double figures as the Georgetown University women’s basketball team overcame a 17-point deficit for a thrilling 75-72 victory over Marquette University on Friday evening in a BIG EAST Conference game at McDonough Arena.
With the win, the Hoyas extended their winning streak to a season-high four games and improved to 13-9 overall and 6-6 in the BIG EAST. The Golden Eagles saw their five-game winning streak come to an end and fell to 11-12 and 6-6 in conference play.
