BURLINGTON, Vt. - The Georgetown University women's basketball team (4-1) used a huge effort on defense and in the paint to win the 2015 TD Bank Classic over the St. Francis (Brooklyn) Terriers (1-4), 74-52, on Friday at the University of Vermont.
Junior guard Faith Woodard (Brandon, Fla./Freedom) was named the tournament MVP, while freshman guard Dionna White (Baltimore, Md./Milford Mill) and sophomore guard Dorothy Adomako (Midlothian, Va./Cosby) were both named to the all-tournament squad.
“It was a great team win and it’s great to see the kids happy and celebrating, but we worked for it,” said Head Coach Natasha Adair.
