Georgetown Suffers 63-55 Setback at St. John’s

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women's basketball team closed to within four points with 48 seconds left, but could not complete the comeback, falling, 63-55, to St. Johns University in a BIG EAST Conference matchup at Carnesecca Arena on Sunday afternoon.

The Hoyas fell to 14-11 overall and 7-8 in the BIG EAST, while the Red Storm improved to 18-7 and 9-5 in conference play. The loss snapped a four-game road winning streak for Georgetown, its longest since winning eight-consecutive road games during the 2011-12 season.

Dorothy Adomako (Midlothian, Va./Cosby) returned after missing three games and was the lone Hoya in double figures, finishing with 12 points.
