Georgetown Falls to Harvard, 45-0, on Chilly Night in Cambridge

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Georgetown University football team (2-3, 0-0 Patriot League) could not solve the No. 24/25 Harvard Crimson (3-0, 1-0 Ivy League) offense or defense on a chilly night at Harvard Stadium, as the Hoyas fell 45-0.

Senior running back Jo’el Kimpela (Kinshasa, D.R. Congo/Euless Trinity) rushed for 46 yards on seven carries, while sophomore safety David Akere (Carrollton, Texas/Hebron) had a career-high 13 tackles, one forced fumble and one pass breakup in the losing effort.

Sophomore running back Isaac Ellsworth (Belfort, Texas/Euless Trinity) had 133 yards on five kickoff returns, helping the Blue & Gray to good starting field position on several drives, but it would not be enough to get GU on the scoreboard.
