WASHINGTON - Georgetown University women's basketball freshman guard Dionna White (Baltimore, Md./Milford Mill) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday after leading the Hoyas (16-12, 9-9 BIG EAST) to a weekend sweep of Butler University and Xavier University.
White averaged 13.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, 4.5 steals and 4.0 assists in the two games as Georgetown clinched a bye in next weekend’s BIG EAST Tournament for the first time since 2012. After registering 12 points, six rebounds and five steals in a 49-35 win over Butler on Friday, White registered her third double-double of the season on Sunday in a 63-51 defeat of Xavier.
