Three with at Least 20 Points as Georgetown Breezes Past St. John’s, 92-64

WASHINGTON - Georgetown had three players score at least 20 points and the Hoyas hit a season-high 56 percent of its field goals en route to a 92-67 win over St. John’s at Verizon Center Monday night.

The win ended a three-game losing streak for the Hoyas, who improve to 14-11 overall and 7-5 in the BIG EAST Conference, while St. John’s falls to 7-18 overall and 0-12 in league play.

Senior guard D’Vauntes Smith-Rivera (Indianapolis, Ind./North Central/Oak Hill) scored a game-high 24 points to lead the Hoyas. He moved into sixth place on Georgetown’s all-time scoring list, surpassing David Wingate (’86) with a three-pointer in the first minute of the game.
