While we're on the topic of supporting our school's sports programs, the #2-ranked Georgetown Women's Soccer Team qualified for their first ever College Cup berth! FOr the uninitiated, this is the equivalent of playing their way through four rounds of single-elimination and making to the Final Four. Even more impressively, they have not allowed a single goal in the tournament, recording 5 consecutive shutouts and notching 8 wins in a row stretching back to the regular season.
The ladies will be taking on #7 University of Southern California tonight, the first ever meeting between the two squads. The winner of this match will watch the late game where #6 UNC faces off against #1 WVU for the second spot in the Championship game.
