INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Georgetown University women's basketball team (12-7, 4-5 BIG EAST) fought off a pesky Butler University (5-15, 2-7 BIG EAST) squad for a 58-52 win on Sunday afternoon at historic Hinkle Fieldhouse in a BIG EAST Conference matchup. Sophomore guard Dionna White (Baltimore, Md./Milford Mill) led the way for the Hoyas with a career-high 29 points and eight rebounds.
“Today was a great road win, and a great way to finish this two-game road swing,” said Georgetown Head Coach Natasha Adair. “This time of year every league game, regardless of record, is going to come down to the wire.
