Georgetown Rallies Late but Falls Short at Xavier, 86-75

Cincinnati, Ohio - Georgetown rallied from a 12-point second half deficit to tie the game with nine minutes left, but could not hang on as No. 22/19 Xavier handed the Hoyas an 86-75 loss at the Cintas Center Sunday afternoon.

It was the second-straight loss for the Hoyas, who fall to 10-10 overall and 1-6 in the BIG EAST, while Xavier improves to 14-5 overall and 4-3 in league play.

Graduate student guard Rodney Pryor (Evanston, Ill./Notre Dame Prep/Robert Morris) scored 23 points, connecting on 10-of-12 shots from the floor, to lead all players, adding four rebounds and two assists.
