This Saturday, thousands upon thousands of people will be inside Doak Campbell Stadium wearing orange and purple, cheering on the visiting Clemson Tigers when they take on the Florida State Seminoles in a nationally televised game.
Make no mistake about it – there will be dozens of people in the state of North Carolina who will also be cheering for the men from South Carolina. Though they can’t do it publicly, ACC officials are desperately hoping there is no upset in Tallahassee this weekend.
With just four spots in the College Football Playoff, the ACC is in a prime spot to get in the system for a third straight year if Clemson can just win out.
