After the 2017 college football regular season comes to a close following conference championship weekend and the annual Army-Navy game, 39 postseason bowl games will take place for schools from the FBS level followed by the annual national championship game. Over 20 percent of those games – eight to be exact – will take place in the state of Florida.
Even dating back to the time when you could count the number of bowl games on your fingers and toes, the Sunshine State has been the destination for some of the top teams in the postseason. From Miami to Orlando and Tampa to Jacksonville, championships have been won and bragging rights have been claimed in late December and early January across the state.
