Emma Wilson got the start for Florida State in the series finale against the Fighting Irish. In the previous two wins, Ashtyn Danley and Makenna Reid each saw a start and went deep into their outings. The senior pitcher retired her first batter on the first pitch to open the game. A double and hit by pitch proved to not be costly for Wilson as she was able to stifle the threat.
Notre Dame opted for Shannon Becker to start in the circle for game three. Becker was able to secure the first two outs before giving up a single to Kalei Harding.
