FSU practice report: Important players sit out

The 'Noles went in shells today as is their Thursday tradition, practicing under mostly sunny skies and temps in the mid/low 80s.

Injured/Absent

For the first time since suffering a hamstring injury against Wake Forest, running back Dalvin Cook sat out a Thursday practice, with a brace on his left ankle. RB Mario Pender, who had been practicing this week, also stayed on the sideline. Starting center Ryan Hoefeld rode the stationary bike, as did Derrick Kelly. Linebacker Terrance Smith was on the bike as well.

Offense

It may mean nothing, but Sean Maguire took the first quarterback snaps in the portion we were allowed to view, with Golson throwing second and Deondre Francois third.
