For nearly three and a half decades, FSU football was comfortable in the knowledge that it had the same man – the legendary Bobby Bowden – leading the Seminoles on the field each season. For the last seven seasons, that job has been done by Jimbo Fisher and he has made it very clear that he wants to stay in Tallahassee for as long as possible.
That hasn’t stopped other schools from coming after him and making things uncomfortable for a while. For the last two seasons, it’s been the worst kept secret that LSU wanted to bring Fisher back to the place he once was the offensive coordinator – while rumors swirl about NFL teams possibly wanting a piece of Fisher as well.
