FSU added its third wide receiver from the transfer portal; this time former Alabama WR Malik Benson and he has speed to burn.
The 6’1”, 195 pound Benson came to Tuscaloosa as the top-ranked JUCO prospect in the 2022 cycle, regardless of position, with nearly every major college program having offered him. In two years at Hutchinson Community College, Benson set the school record for receiving yards with 2,152.
He has excellent speed for his size and FSU will look to unlock and further develop the JUCO version of Benson. He’ll be a veteran addition to a very young wide receiver unit in Tallahassee and should immediately be in the rotation once he learns the playbook.
