Florida State basketball did something no other team has been able to accomplish in the past seven years during its 83-80 victory over Notre Dame.
Notre Dame fired up 21 three-point shots in the loss and made 15 of those attempts. The 71.4% fell just short of its school record 72.7% against Loyola in 2000. The Irish won that game 107-68.
Since 2010, there had been 18 different teams to make 15 or more three-pointers while shooting 70% or higher from beyond the arc. On Wednesday night, Notre Dame became the 19th — and the only one of those teams to lose.
