Florida State baseball’s J.C. Flowers out 6-8 weeks with broken jaw

After a base-running collision during Sunday afternoon’s game against North Carolina, sophomore center fielder J.C. Flowers will miss 6-8 weeks with a broken jaw. After a strong start to the season, he’s seen his batting average drop to .236 while posting a .385 on-base percentage. He spent the night at a North Carolina hospital before returning to Tallahassee on Monday.

With Flowers sidelined, freshman Reese Albert, will likely see a large majority of starts in right field with senior Steven Wells shifting over to center. In 41 at-bats Albert is hitting .
