Florida State quarterback and reigning Heisman trophy winner Jameis Winston just can't seem to keep his name out of the news.
Reports began circulating on Friday that Winston is linked to the same autograph dealer that outed Georgia running back Todd Gurley for charging money for his signature, and now will face a school disciplinary hearing regarding his role in the alleged 2012 sexual assault that has continually followed Winston.
But these are just the latest questions regarding Winston this year. In May, he was suspended from FSU's baseball team and served community service for stealing crab legs from a local supermarket, and was suspended for the Seminoles' football game against Clemson for shouting an obscene phrase on campus.
However, none of that has affected his on-the-field play. Winston has 1,605 passing yards with 11 touchdowns and only five interceptions this season, and he hasn't lost a game as Florida State's starting quarterback (19-0).
Most of these incidents are minor, but they continue to happen and are piling up. And now with the autograph report - what would be another major allegation - the Seminoles can't simply sweep these transgressions under the rug or blame them on Winston being young.
Winston's dragged his own name through the mud and ruined his own public image, but he hasn't face any major discipline. Now, the worst thing he's been convicted of is stealing the crab legs, but usually where there's smoke, there's fire.
Florida State should wait to see if anything comes out of Winston's autograph connection, but if something does, he should be gone for the rest of season. He's been granted too many mulligans that he's lost all benefit of the doubt.
