Brittain put up some solid numbers through his ups and downs at the University of Denver (2010-14). Freshman season, he’d go 19-9-5 while posting a .921 save percentage and a 2.28 GAA.
Things would take a bad turn for the young goalie however, when the season came to an end. An MRI would reveal that Brittain had played with an injured ACL and Meniscus in his left knee.
It was believed he sustained the injury after being run into in a playoff game against North Dakota.
