While Keith Yandle is technically a new face in the organization that they signed to a new contract, they didn’t go about acquiring him in the general sense. Before the draft, the Panthers traded for negotiating rights for the 29 year old defenseman, eventually giving up two picks to get him (a second pick for Florida getting a contract done).
