SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers Executive Vice President and General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the Panthers have assigned defenseman Michael Matheson and forwards Greg McKegg and Logan Shaw to the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Portland Pirates.
The Pirates are currently tied 1-1 in their best-of-five first round Calder Cup Playoff series against the Hershey Bears. The Pirates travel to Hershey for game three on Thursday, April 28 at 7:00 p.m.
The 22-year old Matheson played in three games with the Panthers during the regular season and five Stanley Cup Playoff games, recording one assist.
