SUNRISE, Fla – Florida Panthers Executive Vice President and General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that F Garrett Wilson has been assigned to the Portland Pirates (AHL). During the 2014-15 season, Wilson, 24, played two games with Florida and spent 71 games with the San Antonio Rampage (AHL), recording an AHL career-high 38 points (23-15—38).
The Barrie, Ont., native was selected by Florida in the fourth round (107th overall) of the 2009 NHL Draft.
