The Basics
The FIU track and field contingent closed out their participation in the 2018 NCAA East Region Preliminaries at the University of South Florida Track & Field Stadium in Tampa, on Saturday, with its lone remaining participant, Terrisa Russell (Fort Lauderdale, Florida/South Broward), taking part in the hammer throw. Russell came into the day looking to become the second Panther to advance to the NCAA Championships at the University of Oregon's historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, June 6-9.
