MIAMI (Sept. 23, 2016) -- FIU suffered another long weather delay in a game, and succumbed to a powerful young Charlotte team in a 4-0 home loss in Conference USA women's soccer action Friday night at the FIU Soccer Field. The loss drops the Panthers to 1-7-1 on the season and an 0-2 start in C-USA play. The 49ers improve to 6-4 overall, 2-0 in league games.
The Panthers played the 49ers level for nearly 40 minutes, with the 49ers getting a first-half goal in the 40th minute on a cross and 12-yard blast to the top of the frame.
