MIAMI (August 10, 2017) – The FIU men's and women's cross country/track and field teams have been recognized by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as All-Academic programs. In all, 360 NCAA Division I teams - 218 women's and 142 men's - were honored for their academics by the USTFCCCA.
During the 2016-17 academic year, the women's team posted a cumulative grade point average of 3.013 while the men's team recorded a 3.001 cumulative GPA.
FIU's track and field programs also enjoyed tremendous success on the track this season, leading to the best season under Head Coach Ryan Heberling.
