MIAMI (March 7, 2019) - FIU Executive Director of Sports and Entertainment Pete Garcia announced the hiring of Damione Lewis as Assistant Athletic Director on Thursday. Lewis spent 10 years playing in the NFL.
"We are very excited to welcome Damione Lewis to both the football program and the athletic department staff," Garcia said. "Anytime you can add a person with Damione Lewis' knowledge and accomplishments to your department, you set yourself up for future success."
The former NFL standout, who has past ties to Davis, will focus on player development and community relations for the football team among his other duties.
