BECKLEY, West Va. – As Lionel Richie would sing, that was easy like Sunday morning.

It took just 69 seconds and four pitches for FIU to finish off Marshall, 4-3, on a cold Sunday morning at Epling Stadium in Beckley.

Robert Garcia got Will Ray to ground out to JC Escarra at first base to complete the fog-suspended third game of the three-game series. Garcia, a starter, earned his first save of the season.

FIU (25-16, 10-8 Conference USA) won the series taking two of three games from Marshall (19-21, 8-10).

The third game of the series was suspended late Saturday night when fog rolled into Epling Stadium in the bottom of the ninth inning with FIU one out away from sweeping a doubleheader from Marshall.
