GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida is in the midst of a second bye in three weeks and coach Jim McElwain says if nothing else, the extra rest is helping his team get healthier.
“I don’t know when a great time for a bye week is,” McElwain said Wednesday. “I don’t know if you can put a time on that, and yet it’s allowed us some time to get some guys healed.”
McElwain’s injury report Wednesday was quite lengthy.
* Star linebacker Jarrad Davis, who suffered a badly sprained ankle against Missouri, will not practice this week. His status against Georgia is uncertain.
