JACKSONVILLE — The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed injured first-round draft pick Dante Fowler Jr. to a four-year, $23.5 million contract.

The deal is fully guaranteed and includes a $15.3 million signing bonus.

Fowler, the third overall pick in the draft out of the University of Florida, tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee last Friday and will miss the entire season. Beforehand, he signed an injury protection waiver.

General manager Dave Caldwell says “negotiations with Dante's representatives were ongoing prior to his injury and nothing has changed.
