Glad to see Steve Spurrier is back with the Florida Gators where he belongs as an ambassador and consultant with Gators Boosters. As I told him on Friday, we can still call him the HBC — Head Ball Consultant.
What's unfortunate is that Bobby Bowden had been serving as a paid ambassador/consultant at Florida State until the Seminoles did not renew his contract last year. Question: Does this mean FSU has forced out Bobby twice now?
Wouldn't it be great if Bobby and Steve were going to head to head again on the rubber chicken circuit with Spurrier accusing Bobby of unethical glad-handing of boosters and Bobby saying, "I just schmooze to the echo of the whistle!
