As questions continue to swirl around the Caleb Brantley case, the Gainesville, Fla., Police Department is calling the most recent allegations “absurd.”
GPD released a statement on its Facebook page Monday in regard to the Brantley case, denying a claim that the original police report of the case involving the Florida defensive tackle was false.
Gainesville police regard that statement as “quite a bold allegation and simply absurd.” That allegation came from North Florida Lawyers, the firm representing Chelsea Austin, the complainant against Brantley in the case.
In the first police report, Brantley was listed as the victim in the case, which occurred two weeks ago.
