The Gators are in need of defensive tackles and have secured themselves a commitment from a good one. 4-star defensive tackle Fred Hansard, the nation’s No. 11 defensive tackle and No. 201 overall prospect, committed to Florida today.

The 6-foot-3 304-pound Hansard held over 30 offers but had narrowed his choices to Florida, Rutgers, or Tennessee. Hansard’s high school coach says he can play anywhere on the line of scrimmage and noted that he recently lost 20 pounds (he is still listed at 324 on 247 Sports).
