Offensive changes delete positions

With one decision, one change in philosophy, Hunter Joyer went from important to irrelevant in the Florida offense.

“I figured my role would be reduced quite a bit,” he said. “I didn't know how much.”

It turned out to be almost completely.

Former UF coach Will Muschamp's decision to reverse field and switch from a pro-style offense to the spread basically wiped out Joyer's senior season in 2014.

He is a fullback — and there is no place for one in the spread.
