BOCA RATON — The speculation has already begun about a former Alabama player potentially joining former Crimson Tide offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin at Florida Atlantic – and no, Jalen Hurts isn’t reuniting with his old coach just yet.
Alabama linebacker VanDarius Cowan, a former top prospect at Palm Beach Gardens and the No. 1 senior on The Palm Beach Post Big Board for the Class of 2017, has officially been dismissed from the Crimson Tide for a “violation of team rules.”
“Each of us has a responsibility to represent The University of Alabama in a first-class way, and failure to meet those standards can’t be tolerated,” a statement from Alabama head coach Nick Saban said.
