Florida Atlantic Athletic Director Pat Chun and President John Kelly do not know who the next football coach in Boca Raton will be. But they know what type of mold he'll fit.
"I think we have a profile in mind," Chun said. "That's what I discussed with Dr. Kelly."
FAU fired Charlie Partridge on Sunday after three consecutive 3-9 seasons and a 9-27 record. Chun said Partridge left the program 180 degrees better than he found it, but things did not come together on game day.
The next coach will be the fifth in FAU history and be asked to build on the foundation Partridge laid instead of constructing from scratch.
