Reggie Cannon played a single minute in 2017. This year, he's started every match for FC Dallas, with his minute tally set to hit 3,000 if FC Dallas can put together a strong playoff run.
His work was rewarded earlier this week with a call-up to the United States national team for October friendly matches against Colombia and Peru. Without the struggles of last season, though, Cannon said he never would've had the reward of this year.
The academy product returned to FCD after playing a season at UCLA but couldn't push his way past Hernan Grana or Atiba Harris to earn the starting right-back job.
