Ashley Williams reflected on a positive first season at “massive” Everton and revealed how the Blues’ squad are continually pushed on by the Club’s proud history.
Having moved to Goodison from Swansea last August, the centre-back missed just two matches throughout the 2016/17 Premier League campaign, as the Toffees secured a seventh-place finish and Europa League qualification.
Upon becoming Ronald Koeman’s third signing as Blues boss last summer, the 32-year-old Wales captain knew he was joining a club steeped in tradition.
And with a debut season under his belt in L4, Williams told of how he has enjoyed playing for Evertonians who “live for the team”.
