Marco Silva’s appointment as the new Everton manager dominates both local and national editions of Friday’s newspapers.

The Portuguese was announced as the 17th permanent Blues boss on Thursday and both the Liverpool Echo and Daily Mail carry quotes from the former Olympiakos and Sporting Lisbon manager on his philosophy and why he wants Evertonians to feel proud of their team.

The Echo also looks at Oumar Niasse, who worked with Silva while on loan at Hull City two seasons ago, and features the thoughts of Pajtim Kasami and Ryan Mason, who have knowledge of the Toffees boss from Olympiakos and the Tigers respectively.
