Morgan Schneiderlin says moving to Everton will help Wayne Rooney rediscover the “joy to play football” - as it did for him.
Schneiderlin, who worked alongside Rooney for two years at Manchester United, joined the Toffees in a deal that could potentially rise to £24million in January.
He went on to shine in the second half of the 2016/17 campaign, making 14 appearances as Everton secured a seventh-place Premier League finish.
And the Frenchman, who has admitted the switch to Goodison Park has given him a new lease of life, believes the same can happen for Rooney.
