Romelu Lukaku has reaffirmed his decision to turn down a lucrative new contract at Everton and insists there was 'nothing wrong' with his comments about ambition.
The Belgium striker stunned Goodison Park chiefs last week when he told them that he would not be signing a deal worth more than £100,000-a-week following a training session at the club's USM Finch Farm base.
Talks had been ongoing since last summer, with Lukaku's agent, Mino Raiola, claiming that negotiations were '99.9 per cent' complete.
After informing the club of his decision, Lukaku questioned Everton's ambitions and spoke about his desire to win trophies and play in the Champions League.
