Romelu Lukaku insists 'decision has already been made' not to sign new Everton contract as he defends his comments about being ambitious

Romelu Lukaku has reaffirmed his decision to turn down a lucrative new contract at Everton and insists there was 'nothing wrong' with his comments about ambition.

The Belgium striker stunned Goodison Park chiefs last week when he told them that he would not be signing a deal worth more than £100,000-a-week following a training session at the club's USM Finch Farm base.

Talks had been ongoing since last summer, with Lukaku's agent, Mino Raiola, claiming that negotiations were '99.9 per cent' complete.
