Remembering Andy King

On 27 May 2015, Everton Football Club was saddened to learn of the passing of Andy King, aged 58.

King, who scored 67 goals in 248 appearances over two spells at Goodison Park, was a crowd favourite and will forever be remembered for netting a spectacular Merseyside derby winner in October 1978.

Today, on the second anniversary of King’s passing, we remember his life and contributions…

A skilful, free-spirited, goalscoring midfielder, Andy King was – above all else - a crowd pleaser.

Two spells at Goodison Park earned him hero status among a generation of Evertonians and yielded 248 appearances and 67 goals - one of which stood out clearly from the rest.
