On 27 May 2015, Everton Football Club was saddened to learn of the passing of Andy King, aged 58. A skilful, free-spirited, goalscoring midfielder, Andy King was – above all else - a crowd pleaser. Two spells at Goodison Park earned him hero status among a generation of Evertonians and yielded 248 appearances and 67 goals - one of which stood out clearly from the rest.
King, who scored 67 goals in 248 appearances over two spells at Goodison Park, was a crowd favourite and will forever be remembered for netting a spectacular Merseyside derby winner in October 1978.
Today, on the second anniversary of King’s passing, we remember his life and contributions…
