'Gana's Finishing Practice Paid Off!'

Ronald Koeman has revealed finishing practice in training was key to Idrissa Gana Gueye opening his account for Everton.

The Senegalese midfielder set the Blues on their way to victory against Sunderland, thundering home Seamus Coleman’s cross five minutes before the half-time interval for his first goal for the Club since arriving from Aston Villa last summer.

Romelu Lukaku then added a second 10 minutes from the end to seal three points and equal Duncan Ferguson’s record of netting 60 Premier League goals for the Toffees.

Speaking after the win, Koeman revealed how Gana - and the rest of his midfielders - have been heavily involved in finishing practice in a bid to add more goals from other areas of the pitch.
