Everton have completed the signing of Swansea midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson for a club-record £45million after he completed his medical on Wednesday.
The Iceland international has signed a fear-year deal at Goodison Park worth £100,000 a week, ending one of the summer's most protracted transfer sagas. Ronald Koeman's side will pay an initial fee of £40m and two £2.5m add-ons.
Sigurdsson's arrival on Merseyside means Koeman's side has now spent £144m this summer, as the club look to challenge for a Champions League place in the Dutchman's second season.
Leicester City also made a £40m offer but Sigurdsson had his heart set on a move to Goodison.
