Everton In the Community’s Deaf Football Team have officially opened Liverpool’s new Amplifon store.
Players and coaches supported the store launch by cutting the ribbon at the new branch, located on Church Street, while Steve Johnson, Everton in the Community’s Disability Manager, took part in a short hearing test designed to act as a first indicator for hearing loss.
Steve, who was given a clean bill of health by Nicky Fletcher, Amplifon Audiologist, said: “I was surprised at just how easy it was to take the hearing test. Most of us wouldn’t think twice about getting our eyes tested and we really need to look after our ears in the same way.
