Representatives from Everton in the Community recently took part in the Toxteth March to help protest against gun and knife violence.

The march was held in memory of a popular local teenager, Yusuf, who was tragically killed five months ago and his mum, Kajdijah Sonko, arranged the march as she looked to call for an end to gun and knife crime. She was backed by more than 50 people of all ages on the day as they marched from Toxteth to Liverpool city centre.

They started in Tiber Square and made their way to the steps of Lime Street station where Yusuf’s parents and Liverpool boxer Natasha Jonas gave poignant speeches.
