Everton in the Community scooped two honours at the recent Heart Safe Awards at the Hilton Manchester.
The Blues’ official charity took the titles of ‘SME Business of the Year’ and ‘Sports & Fitness Establishment of the Year’ at the annual Heart Safe Awards on Friday 3 November.
The national awards celebrates organisations and employers which invest in creating Heart Safe environments, and EitC was shortlisted for no less than four awards on the night and was recognised as ‘best in class’ in two other categories.
A Heart Safe environment is one where life-saving equipment, a defibrillator and training are provided for staff or customers so that, should a sudden cardiac arrest occur, people are fully prepared to perform resuscitation and life support immediately.
