MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Beginning its spring season down south, the University of Evansville men's golf team recorded a first-round 306 to sit in first-place after the first round at the Alabama State Spring Golf Kickoff at Lagoon Park Golf Course in Montgomery, Ala.
After 18 holes, the Aces sit just eight strokes back of tournament host and leader Alabama State, who finished the opening round with a team score of 298.
Leading Evansville, freshmen Dallas Koth and Tyler Roat each tallied a team-best two-over 74, placing them in a tie for sixth after the first round.
