The Edmonton Oilers announced today, they have named Andrew Ference, Jordan Eberle, Taylor Hall and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins as alternate captains for the 2015-16 season.
Ference, 36, has served as the Oilers Captain for the past two seasons and he is entering his 16th NHL season and third with the Oilers. The Sherwood Park, Alberta native has appeared in 901 career NHL games, registering 225 points (43G, 182A) and 747 penalty minutes. Ference has received the Oilers Community Service Award the past two seasons (2013-14, 2014-15) for his extensive charitable work in Edmonton.
